Manual curation → Archivematica + PURE

University of St Andrews

As part of the Jisc Research Data Shared Service pilot, the University of St Andrews worked to automate preservation of its research data and e-theses using Archivematica, situating it early in the data lifecycle and connecting it to the university's PURE research-information system. The pilot aimed to scale up preservation capacity without adding staff. It is a UK example of a university testing an automated, open-source research-data preservation pipeline within a national shared-service programme.
