Royal Society of Arts (RSA)
The Royal Society of Arts moved its archive collection out of a CALM database and into AtoM, pairing the open-source access catalogue with Archivematica for long-term digital preservation. Rather than treating access and preservation as separate problems, the RSA adopted a joined-up workflow: CALM data was exported and cleansed as XML, converted to ISAD(G)-compliant CSV, and ingested while digital objects passed through Archivematica to generate standards-based Archival Information Packages (AIPs) and Dissemination Information Packages (DIPs). The AtoM catalogue was styled to match the RSA's branding. It is a clear case of the AtoM-plus-Archivematica pairing working as an integrated preservation and access solution.
