Islandora 7 → Islandora 2.0

Whitman College

Whitman College's Arminda repository was a pilot for migrating from Islandora 7 to Islandora 2.0, work funded in part by IMLS to validate Fedora migration paths. Partnering with Born-Digital, the college moved its collections onto the modern platform and implemented accessible, side-by-side display of OCR text and downloadable transcripts alongside primary audio and image files, improving accessibility. A US liberal-arts-college example of an early, grant-supported Islandora 7-to-2.0 migration with an accessibility focus.
