CONTENTdm → Islandora 2

University of Nevada, Las Vegas

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas moved its special-collections digital assets off CONTENTdm to Islandora 2 to build a unified discovery portal and escape restrictive vendor costs and scalability limits. A central goal was integrating the repository with ArchivesSpace so that finding aids and digitised objects live together, and the project mapped idiosyncratic legacy metadata into a single profile using the Portland Common Data Model (PCDM). Documented in a Society of American Archivists repository profile, it is a US example of Islandora 2 adoption tightly integrated with ArchivesSpace.
