Fundación Universitaria para el Desarrollo Humano (UNINPAHU)

Priced out of proprietary systems such as Archidoc, the Fundación Universitaria para el Desarrollo Humano (UNINPAHU) in Bogotá, Colombia, adopted AtoM after a formal ISO/IEC 25000 software-quality evaluation scored it well ahead of Archon (83.3% versus 59.3%). The system was deployed on local Ubuntu servers, keeping data under the institution's own control and avoiding recurring hosting fees, and AtoM's out-of-the-box Spanish interface made it immediately usable by staff and students while helping meet national digital-government transparency mandates. Documented in a peer-reviewed Spanish-language article, it is a strong Latin American example of evidence-based open-source selection.
