Migrated to InvenioRDM

Front Matter (Rogue Scholar)

Rogue Scholar, an archive of science-blog posts run by Front Matter, migrated from a bespoke Typesense-based system to InvenioRDM. The move raised two custom-engineering challenges. First, DOI registration: InvenioRDM has built-in DataCite registration, whereas Rogue Scholar registers its blog posts with Crossref, so the team integrated Crossref support. Second, search: InvenioRDM uses OpenSearch and indexes metadata, so the team extended it to provide full-text search across the blog content. The migration announcement documents both changes, illustrating how a niche scholarly archive adapts the standard InvenioRDM stack to non-default identifier and indexing needs.
