Kerbala International Journal of Management and Economics (University of Kerbala)

The Kerbala International Journal of Management and Economics (KIJME), published by the University of Kerbala in Iraq, was founded in 2010 as an Arabic-language print journal with a manual peer-review process. In June 2024 it was relaunched under a new editor with an international, English-only scope and migrated to the open-source Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to improve global accessibility and meet international indexing standards. It has since added Crossref DOI registration, Portico preservation and indexing in Google Scholar, ROAD and the PKP Index. An Iraqi example of a print journal using OJS to reach the global scholarly conversation.
