Migrated to Hyku

Georgetown University (DigitalGeorgetown)

Georgetown University migrated DigitalGeorgetown, established in 2004 and hosted on DSpace since 2011, to Hyku. The library sought a more flexible, scalable and interoperable repository that could be adapted to user needs, offer feature-rich content viewers for archival and special collections, and reduce reliance on aging, custom-built tools. According to the migration team's presentation, the beta launch and content migration were built around the Bulkrax importer, with the DSpace-to-Hyku move treated as an opportunity to clean up legacy metadata. The project consolidated Georgetown's growing special digital collections and faculty output onto a modern open-source platform.
