Adopted Hyrax

École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Didómena)

EHESS built Didómena, its research-data repository for the humanities and social sciences, on Hyrax — the Samvera free-software stack that also underpins Hyku. The platform lets EHESS research units organise, describe and deposit their data, hosting it to ensure institutional control. A stated driver was interoperability: Hyrax's data model supports rich, standards-based metadata, letting researchers apply access conditions and embargoes to sensitive sociological datasets. Didómena illustrates European adoption of the Samvera stack for humanities and social-science research data, with the repository run and hosted by the institution itself.
