Adopted Mukurtu

Boston Fisheries Museum

The Boston Fisheries Museum, a Massachusetts non-profit, is building a digital archive 'powered by Mukurtu' to preserve Boston's maritime and fishing heritage, curating oral histories and digital exhibits ahead of opening a physical museum space. Although entirely outside Mukurtu's Indigenous-community use case, the deployment shows the open-source, Drupal-based platform working as a flexible tool for hyper-local community history. A US example of a non-Indigenous non-profit adopting Mukurtu for community heritage.
