Adopted CollectiveAccess

Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende (MSSA)

The Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende (MSSA) in Santiago, Chile put its documentary archive online using the open-source CollectiveAccess, publishing more than 5,000 documentary pieces from May 2021. Framed by a commitment to open access and software libre, MSSA has shared its CollectiveAccess experience with peer Latin American institutions such as Espigas and the Museo Universitario del Chopo, offering a regional model for documentary-collection management free of proprietary licensing. A Chilean example centred on open-source digital sovereignty.
