Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence

Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, established to place the UAE at the forefront of AI research, launched its institutional repository on Atmire's Open Repository platform. As a graduate university and strategic think tank, MBZUAI needed a sophisticated platform to collect, preserve and disseminate high-value AI research, theses and conference proceedings. The deployment added bespoke metadata features and automated DOI minting, and, for a research-impact-focused institution, features to help track research impact and enhance the discoverability of its output. A Middle Eastern example of a specialised research institute adopting open-source DSpace.
