Maastricht University Library

Maastricht University Library adopted Omeka S to bring its digital collections into a Linked Open Data and IIIF environment, aligned with the Dutch National Digital Heritage Strategy. The library runs Omeka S in a scalable Docker deployment and uses resource templates and IIIF to enable deep-zoom viewing, cross-collection interoperability and rich, standards-based metadata. A strong Netherlands example of a containerised, standards-first Omeka S stack — and of national heritage policy driving adoption of open, interoperable infrastructure.
