Forest Stewardship Council

The Forest Stewardship Council migrated its core knowledge base to a custom DSpace project built by Atmire to increase global transparency. Branded 'FSC Open Knowledge', the platform doubles as an open-access portal for stakeholders and a system that integrates FSC's private internal systems via secure REST APIs. The interface was heavily customised — colour-coded sustainability indicators, help-text tooltips on search facets — and, unusually, the migration added automated syndication of FSC's podcasts straight to Spotify and Google Podcasts. An international NGO example of DSpace pushed toward a dynamic, media-syndicating content platform.
