INVENIO / TIND → DSpace-CRIS

École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)

EPFL migrated its 'Infoscience' repository from the INVENIO-based TIND platform to DSpace-CRIS, hosted on AWS by 4Science. The driver was the need for a robust, flexible data model able to represent the relationships between researchers, academic units and datasets in support of Open Science. Delivered in partnership with 4Science, the migration modernised one of the region's large research repositories and improved the consistency and interoperability of its scientific metadata. A Swiss example of a leading technical university moving its research repository onto an open-source CRIS platform.
