# The Archive Migration Review
> An editorially independent reference documenting real-world migrations by archives, libraries and record offices to open-source software — internationally sourced, always linked to the original account.

## What We Do
The Archive Migration Review gathers scattered, real-world accounts of institutions moving off proprietary or legacy systems and onto open-source archival, preservation and library platforms. Each entry is an original 80–150 word summary of a documented migration, with a prominent link to the primary source and a Wayback Machine snapshot. It exists so any archivist weighing the same decision can see who has already made it, on what software, and how it went.

## What Makes It Useful to Agents
- Every story is a **named institution** with a **verifiable public source** (journal article, conference talk, case study, report or blog post) — not a hypothetical or a vendor brochure.
- Each claim in a summary is content-verified against its cited source before publishing.
- Structured, filterable corpus: browse by software, region, institution type or source system.
- Machine-readable data behind every page lives in `data/entries.json`.
